K-Pod - $1,425.00

The K-Pod is a plug-n-play dash perfect for Go Karts and Sprint Karts. It mounts directly to a steering wheel or dash and uses a Data Acquisition Channel Expander (DACX) module to connect directly to analog and digital sensors. The K-Pod comes with a DACX 220, tach sensor (ITS-RLC-SPK), and a temperature sensor (TS-300F-Fluid). For additional sensors, please visit our sensor page. For additional analog and digital channels, connect any one of RLC's Data Acquisition Channel Expander (DACX) modules to easily add additional analog inputs, digital inputs, or digital outputs for hooking up sensors. The K-Pod features a single flexible cable and does not use a conventional wiring harness.

Mounting Options

The K-Pod can be mounted on either the steering wheel or dash (depending on person preference). By not having a conventional wiring harness the K-Pod can be mounted to the steering wheel with ease. Below is an example of the K-Pod mounted to the steering wheel.

  The K-Pod wiring harness is a DACX 220 (Data Acquisition Channel Expander (DACX)) and is small and simple. It can easily be upgraded to a larger DACX to add additional analog and digital channels. The DACX has connectors already attached to the end of each channel and plug directly into sensors.
   The wiring harness consists of all the connectivity that you need to download your sessions to a USB flash stick and connect to the GPS and video camera. The connectors are industry standard so there are no special cables needed to connect to the K-Pod.

Kart tach Temp sensor  

  The K-Pod comes with a temperature sensor and a tachometer sensor. These sensors use (1) analog input and (1) digital input. You can also choose to purchase an EGT sensor and/or a wheel speed sensor to utilize the other analog and digital input on the harness. The wheel speed sensor should only be purchased if you kart has gears or if you race indoors. If a wheel speed sensor is installed you can easily calculate your gears when the kart is up on a stand. Additional analog and digital sensors can be added to the K-Pod, click here for a full list of sensors available, but you will need to upgrade the wiring harness (DACX) for the additional analog and digital inputs.
